PROVIDENCE: Providence has 25 official neighborhoods, though these neighborhoods are often grouped together and referred to collectively. Some of the sections of Providence include the East Side and Federal Hill.

• East Side - Your agent Mike resides on the East Side of Providence, living near the campus of Brown University. In addition to Brown, Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) is an important member of the community. Private schools are also prominent on the East Side, with Moses Brown School, The Wheeler School, Lincoln School, School One, Providence Hebrew Day School, and the French-American School being members of the community. The public Hope High School is also located on the East Side, within walking distance of Brown University. Fantastic shopping and dining can also be had in many of the quaint neighborhoods on the East Side. • Federal Hill - The Federal Hill neighborhood is in a central location within Providence, well known for its Italian-American community. Federall Hill is often compared with the North End in Boston and Little Italy in New York. In the first two decades of the 1900s there was a strong immigration of Italian-Americans into this section of the city, and their influence on the community is still seen today. Famous for the fine dining and cafes, it is recommended that you consider reservations for a weekend meal! Single family houses, condos, multi-family houses, and apartments can all be found within this neighborhood.

Barrington: Nine miles southeast of Providence, and bordering Massachusetts, Barrington is a  beautiful waterfront community. No point in town is more than two miles from salt water. With just over 15,000 residents calling Barrington home, it is a great residential town that is an easy 10 minute commute from the dynamic city of Providence. In addition to pristine waterfront living, Barrington is known for outdoor activities, restaurants, and the arts. Whether you are spending a day golfing at Rhode Island Country Club, or enjoying the harbor at sunset, Barrington is a pristine town that many enjoy calling home.

Bristol: Another charming waterfront community, Bristol is well known for being the spot of the first battle in King Phillip's War in 1675. Today, Bristol is adored by many seeking a charming way of life, as well as a fantastic 4th of July Parade. The town is also famous for Colt State Park, Roger Williams University, Blithewold Mansion - Gardens and Arboretum, the America's Cup Hall of Fame, and the ever enchanting Main Street.

East Providence: East Providence is the 5th largest city in Rhode Island, with just over 47,000 residents. Also making up East Providence are the villages of Riverside and Rumford. Just minutes from Providence, Massachusetts, and the ocean, East Providence is a fantastic location to call home. Pawtucket: Bordering Providence to the north is the artsy city of Pawtucket. Known for being home to many textile mills in the 1800s, Pawtucket is ever changing and evolving. A recent New York Times article said the following about the city. "Artists say Pawtucket offers small-town friendliness and accessibility cloaked in industrial urban grit, and the type of space usually available only for exorbitant prices in large cities: open lofts with wooden floors, high ceilings, large windows and copious lighting."

The city also houses the Pawtucket Red Sox, the AAA farm team of the Boston Red Sox. Other sites in town include the Slater Mill, fabulous walking trails, phenomenal art galleries, and a bustling Main St.

Wickford: Wickford is a small village south of Providence. Wickford is located on the west side of Narragansett Bay, just about a 20 minute drive across two bridges from Newport, Rhode Island. Well known for its historic homes and terrific summer art festival, Wickford offers quaint waterfront living just a short drive from Providence. The town is constructed a well-protected natural harbor, and features one of the largest collections of 18th century dwellings to be found anywhere in the northeast.
